Our dog psychology and canine behaviour services are organised to compliment and support local Veterinary Practices and Rescue Centres - through consultations and home visits for dog owners who are experiencing problem behaviour in their dogs.

Any referrals from a Veterinary Practice or Dog Rescue Centre will be dealt with in a professional manner. Each situation will be individually evaluated and a full report, including assessment and action plans, will be provided to both the dog owner/s and the point of referral.

With all contacts, the method of assessment will be to observe not just the dog’s behaviour, but also human behaviour and communication around the dog and in its environment. Each assessment will take diet and medical history into account. If an underlying health problem is suspected, a Veterinary appointment will be advised.

Recommended actions will include a mix of alpha training, including human communication and body language techniques, together with positive reinforcement, desensitisation and behavioural modification methods/training.

All techniques and methods used are kind to dogs. The ideal outcome being a calm, confident owner and a calm, stress-free dog, or as close to that as can be achieved.
